Bold Yin’s first feature film. Robert Florence makes his directorial debut with the world premiere of this surreal and claustrophobic horror chamber piece. A misogynistic masked killer prepares for the routine slaying of Anna, his 27th victim, in the comfort of his own home. As Anna struggles to break out of the role the killer has chosen for her, the dead women in the walls and floors play a last desperate card.
The House Of Him premiered at Glasgow Film Festival in February 2014.
Co-written with Iain Cook of CHVRCHES, the score for The House Of Him is a claustrophobic yet modern take on the synthesised slasher film scores of the late ’70s and ’80s. Grinding analogue drones and processed murmured vocals form a backdrop for a memorable and innovative soundtrack.
The track featured on this site is a concept piece written during pre-production; distribution is currently being finalised for a wider release of the film.
“Nerve-jangling and atmospheric soundtrack.”

“A terrific, Carpenter-infused score.”
